Gotherington Film Club is a friendly community run film club based in The Old Chapel which offers a great space to watch a film with your family or friends. We are popular with our younger audience because of the cosy environment and relaxed atmosphere making it a great early experience of watching a film on the big screen! We have cushions at the front for children who like to watch the film with their friends and comfortable padded seats for everyone else.

In the summer of 2026, with funding from The Old Chapel Community Project, we were able to upgrade the equipment to include a BIGGER screen and new centre speaker. We also mounted the projector onto the ceiling giving us more floor space and no trailing cables! Altogether this creates an even better cinematic experience for you with the bonus of it being a lot quicker for us to set up!

At our Film Club we run a snack shop and have a license to serve drinks (we take card payments too). In the afternoon film we serve free squash or water in cups and during every film we pause for a 15 minute interval to give you an opportunity to enjoy an ice-cream and quick chat with your friends!

Seating is limited as we are only a smaller venue, so please make sure you get your tickets early. Tickets are available from our local shop (please bring cash) or you can email Pete at gotheringtonfilmclub@gmail.com if you would like to reserve seats and pay online.

Children can of course bring their own beanbags or cushions to sit at the front with friends if they wish!
